ABOUT KEVIN

Kevin Hensley

Kevin was born in North Carolina. At an early age his parents moved to Bethesda, Maryland. He graduated from Chevy Chase High School.

Kevin moved to Delaware to attend the University of Delaware. During his senior year he interned with Senator Bill Roth. Upon his graduation Kevin accepted an offer to work in the Senator’s Washington office.

As a Legislative Assistant, Kevin was responsible with determining the impact of pending legislation both the advantages and disadvantage. Much of what Kevin does today as our Representative requires those same skills.

Before each vote Kevin must weigh the impact on all us.

In 1991, he left the Senator’s office after marrying Verna who was Senator Roth Press Secretary. From 1991-1995, Kevin worked for the Associated General Contractors as a tax lobbyist.

In 1995, Kevin and Verna moved back to Delaware and Middletown. Kevin changed careers and began his Real Estate practice. In 2005 Kevin was awarded the top salesperson for RE/MAX’S Delaware/Pennsylvania region. By 2010, he was awarded the Realtor of the Year for Delaware.

Kevin is active in many community groups including the Middletown Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement and Easter Seals.

Kevin was a founding member of the MOT Charter School. He also served on the Appoquinimink School Board.

Kevin’s many activities throughout his career provide a vital background for serving us effectively in Dover.
